Fried U.S. Catfish Nugget Crostini with Remoulade Sauce

What you’ll need:

  • Catfish:
  • 1 pound U.S Farm-Raised Catfish Fillets, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup seasoned fish fry coating of your choice
  • Crostini:
  • 12 slices of baguette, about 1/2-inch thick
  • Salt to taste
  • Store-bought remoulade sauce

How to prepare:

For the Catfish:

Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Rinse and dry the catfish with a paper towel before coating.

Add the seasoned breading to a shallow bowl, and then dip each piece of fish until coated completely.

Spread out nuggets on a baking sheet and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Place nuggets in an even layer in the air fryer basket, sprayed side down.

Air fry for 8 minutes.

Flip nuggets over and cook for 4 minutes

 
Prepare the Crostini:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.

Lightly brush both sides of each slice with olive oil.

Sprinkle a little salt over the slices.

Toast in the oven until golden brown and crisp, about 10 minutes.

Once out of the oven and still warm, rub the garlic clove over one side of each toasted slice.

 

Assemble:

Spread a generous layer of the remoulade sauce on half of the crostinis slice (6) .

Place a fried catfish nugget on top.

Drizzle or dollop a small amount of remoulade sauce over the nugget if desired.
